application techniques Acne
Acne is a very common disorder of the skin and can affect anyone at any time. Mild acne is characterised by pimples as well as blackheads, usually found on the face, back and neck. More severe cases are extremely painful, causing enlarged pores and leaving lasting impressions of scarred skin. Generally acne is caused by a natural overproduction of sebum, which helps to protect the skin. It is often linked to a hormonal imbalance, stress, diet, cosmetics, pullutants, etc. and must be treated holistically.

Apply Lema (or Lavender) directly to the spot. Combine your chosen oil(s) into a carrier oil - ideally Grapeseed as it is the lightest - and apply to the affected area in the evening. Use a Spritz throughout the day to help reduce excessive bacteria growth without removing natural protective skin oils. Steam cleanse the face using 5-7 drops of your chosen essential oil(s) in a basin or bowl of very hot water, put a towel over your head and remain for 5-7 minutes. Ensure skin is kept clean, use a natural light facial scrub and mask twice a week.
